Academy Awards 2012 Nominees

Nominasi Academy Awards/Piala Oscar 2012 diumumkan hari ini 24 Januari di Samuel Goldwyn Theater, California dibacakan oleh presiden AMPAS Tom Sherak dan aktris muda Jennifer Lawrence. Pengumuman pemenang Oscar tahun ini akan diselenggarakan 26 February mendatang di Kodak Theatre, Hollywood dengan host komedian Billy Christal.

Para nominator tak banyak berbeda dengan Golden Globe tahun ini. Film Martin Scorsese 3-D Hugo memimpin perolehan nominasi dengan meraup 11 nominasi, disusul film produksi Prancis The Artist dengan 10 nominasi, sementara The Descendants dan The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo berhasil mendapatkan lima nominasi. Untuk kategori Best Picture tahun ini masih tetap dengan 10 nominasi untuk film The Artist, The Descendants, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The Help, Hugo, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball, The Tree of Life dan War Horse.

Untuk kategori Best Actor, George Clooney (The Descendants) kembali bersaing dengan Jean Dujardin (The Artist) dan Brad Pitt (Moneyball), serta Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady) akan bersaing dengan Viola Davis (The Help), Michele Williams (My Week with Marilyn) dan Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) untuk kategori Best Actress. Kategori Best Original Song, tahun ini hanya ada dua nominasi untuk lagu Man or Muppet dan Real in Rio. Sementara untuk kategori Best Foreign Language Film akan bersaing film dari Belgia (Bullhead), Poland (In Darkness) dan Iran (A Separation). Berikut daftar lengkap nominasi Academy Awards 2012.
