Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection
Katy Perry mengumumkan untuk merilis ulang album Teenage Dream yang menurut rencana akan dirilis 27 Maret mendatang. Teenage Dream merupakan studio album ketiga penyanyi asal California menghasilkan double platinum dan memecahkan rekor Billboard dengan menempatkan enam single dalam album ini di posisi puncak Billboard Hot 100, menyamai pencapaian album Bad milik Michael Jackson tahun 1988. Album ini juga berhasil menyabet enam nominasi Grammy Awards termasuk kategori Album of the Year, Record of the Year dan Best Pop Solo Performance masing-masing untuk lagu Firework.
Album special edition ini berjudul Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection. Sebanyak 12 lagu dari original album Teenage Dream, plus E.T. lagu kolaborasinya bersama Kanye West, remix Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) featuring Missy Elliott dan The One that Got Away versi acoustic, 7 minutes Tommy Sunshine megamix of six previous singles, serta tiga lagu baru salah satunya Part of Me yang akan menjadi lead single. Menanggapi rilis album terbaru, dikutip dari official websitenya, Katy Perry mengatakan “This is the complete story of Teenage Dream. It was an incredible honor to tie the King of Pop's Billboard Hot 100 record, but I’m moving forward and had a few things left to get off my chest. So this is the complete special edition of my album for my fans.”
Sebagai informasi Katy Perry akan tampil sebagai salah satu performer di ajang penghargaan Grammy Awards tahun ini yang akan berlangsung Minggu (12 Februari) waktu LA atau Senin (13 Februari) waktu Indonesia, dengan menampilkan lagu The One that Got Away.
