MTV VMA 2011 Nominees

MTV hari ini mengumumkan para peraih nominasi untuk Video Music Awards, Katy Perry berkesempatan mengumumkan nama-nama para nominasi ajang penghargaan tahunan ini. Para pemenang MTV VMA akan diumumkan di Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles 28 September mendatang. Tahun ini sebanyak 14 kategori diperebutkan, Katy Perry memimpin perolehan dengan 9 nominasi melalui video music E.T., Firework dan Teenage Dream, disusul penyanyi asal London, Inggris Adele dengan 7 nominasi untuk video music Rolling in the Deep, dan Kanye West untuk All of the Lights (feat. Rihanna) dan Power (feat. Dwele) menyusul dengan 6 nominasi.

 

Bruno Mars berhasil mendapatkan empat nominasi termasuk kategori video of the year dan best pop video dan best male video lewat video music Grenade. Penyanyi eksentrik Lady Gaga yang tahun lalu memecahkan rekor peraih nominasi MTV VMA terbanyak (13 nominasi) dan berhasil menyabet 8 penghargaan moonman, kali ini ‘hanya’ mendapatkan tiga nominasi, dua di antaranya untuk video music Judas kategori best art direction dan best choreography dan Born This Way untuk kategori best female video. Selain Lady Gaga yang mendapat tiga nominasi, Eminem, Beyonce dan Nicky Minaj juga mendapat 3 nominasi. Sementara untuk kategori best new artist akan bersaing Wiz Khalifa, Foster the People, Tyler, The Creator, Big Sean dan Kreayshawn.

 

Fans dapat mulai voting hari ini, 21 Juli (20 Juli waktu setempat) sampai dengan pengumuman pemenang di Nokia Theatre melalui website mtv.com/ontv/vma/2011. Siapa tahun ini yang akan berjaya di MTV VMA, kita tunggu 28 September tahun ini.
