MTV VMA 2012 Nominees

Ajang penghargaan musik tahunan memperebutkan trophy Moon Man, MTV Video Music Awards 2012 baru saja mengumumkan para peraih nominasi tahun ini. Sekedar informasi, tahun lalu Katy Perry, Adele dan Kanye West mendominasi nominasi MTV VMA. Untuk tahun ini giliran Rihanna dan Drake memimpin perolehan nominasi dengan total lima nominasi, diikuti oleh Katy Perry dengan empat nominasi. Sementara Coldplay, Beyonce, dan kolaborasi Jay-Z dan Kanye West  - Watch the Throne, masing-masing memperoleh tiga nominasi. Penyanyi eksentrik Lady Gaga, tahun ini gagal mendapatkan satu nominasi pun.

Untuk kategori bergengsi Video of The Year yang tahun lalu dimenangkan oleh Katy Perry lewat video musik Firework, akan bersaing tahun ini diantaranya Katy Perry (Wide Awake), Gotye (Somebody That I Used to Know) dan Rihanna (We Found Love). Sementara Fun feat. Janelle Monae (We are Young), Carly Rae Jepsen (Call Me Maybe) dan One Direction (What Makes You Beautiful) akan bersaing memperebutkan kategori Best New Artist.

Penganugerahan bagi pemenang akan berlangsung 6 September mendatang di Staples Center, Los Angeles dan disiarkan oleh MTV. Voting dibuka hari ini di official website MTV sampai berlangsungnya penghargaan. Berikut daftar peraih nominasi MTV VMA 2012.
