Billboard Music Awards 2012 Winners

Penghargaan tahunan Billboard Music Awards digelar hari ini Senin 21 Mei (atau Minggu 20 Mei waktu setempat) dengan host komedian Modern Family Julie Bowen dan Ty Burrell. Seperti diduga, Adele dan LMFAO merajai penghargaan yang digelar di MGM Grand Arena Las Vegas.

Adele menjadi yang terbaik dengan total 18 nominasi berhasil memborong 12 penghargaan di antaranya Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Top Billboard 200 Album & Top Pop Album (untuk album 21), Top Streaming Song (Audio) dan Top Alternative Song (untuk lagu Rolling in the Deep). Duo rapper LMFAO mendapatkan enam penghargaan – lima diantaranya untuk lagu Party Rock Anthem meraih Top Hot 100 dan Top Digital Song. Coldplay dan Lil Wayne menyabet empat penghargaan, sementara Lady Gaga dan country singer Jason Aldean masing-masing menyabet tiga penghargaan.

LMFAO membuka acara dengan medley Party Rock Anthem, Sorry for the Party Rocking dan I'm Sexy and I Know It, Chris Brown Turn Up the Music Katy Perry Wide Awake, Kelly Clarkson Dark Side, Cee-Lo Green Fight to Win, Carrie Underwood Blown Away, Usher Scream, Nelly Furtado Big Hoops, Justin Bieber Boyfriend, The Wanted Chasing the Sun dan Glad You Came, Carly Rae Jepsen Call Me Maybe, John Legend dan Jordin Sparks memberikan tribute untuk Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder menerima penghargaan Billboard Icon awards berduet dengan Alicia Keys menutup acara dengan medley Higher Ground, Overjoyed, Empire State of Mind, Ten Billion Hearts dan Superstition. Billboard Music Awards 2012 Nominees

Adele Pimpin Perolehan Nominasi

Adele masih terus mengukuhkan dominasinya di dunia musik, dalam Billboard Music Awards 2012 penyanyi asal London, Inggris memimpin perolehan nominasi dengan total 18 nominasi termasuk kategori bergengsi Top Artist, Top Female Artist dan Top Billboard 200 Artist. Menyusul di belakang Adele, duo rapper LFMAO dengan 17 nominasi, disusul Rihanna dengan 13 nominasi. Lil Wayne dan Lady Gaga masing-masing mendapatkan 10 nominasi. Lady Gaga akan bersaing dengan Adele, Rihanna dan Katy Perry dalam perebutan kategori Top Female Artist.

Dilansir dari Billboard.com akan tampil sebagai performer tahun ini di antaranya Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Linkin Park, Nelly Furtado, Carrie Underwood, LFMAO, Ceelo Green serta Justin Bieber.

Billboard Music Awards merupakan penghargaan dihitung berdasarkan chart ranking, track download, penjualan album dan single, radio airplay, konser, interaksi media sosial seperti Facebook, Twitter, YouTube maupun Vevo, bekerja sama dengan Nielsen Entertainment dan Next Big Sound. Untuk penghargaan tahun ini dihitung mulai 1 Maret 2011 sampai 29 February 2012.

Penghargaan Billboard Music Awards tahun ini menurut rencana akan digelar di MGM Grand Arena Las Vegas hari Minggu 20 Mei waktu setempat (atau Senin 21 Mei waktu Indonesia) disiarkan secara langsung oleh ABC dengan host bintang Modern Family – Julie Bowen dan Ty Burrell.

Grammy Awards 2012 Winners List

Adele dan Foo Fighters Jadi Yang Terbaik

Penghargaan tahunan musik industri paling prestisius digelar hari ini Minggu 12 February waktu LA (Senin, 13 February) waktu Indonesia di Staples Center, Los Angeles masih dengan host LL Cool J disiarkan secara langsung oleh CBS. Di Indonesia kita bisa menyaksikan acara ini secara live di channel Starworld pagi ini jam 7.00 dan siaran tunda jam 20.50.

Dinominasikan dengan enam kategori, penyanyi fenomenal asal Inggris Adele menyapu bersih semua kategori, termasuk kategori bergengsi seperti Album of the Year (21), Record of the Year (Rolling in the Deep), Song of the Year (Rolling in the Deep), Best Pop Solo Performance (Someone Like You), dan Best Pop Vocal Album (21) mengalahkan Lady Gaga (Born this Way), Bruno Mars (Doo-Woops and Hollligans), Rihanna (Loud) dan Cee Lo Green (The Lady Killer).

Rapper Kanye West yang sebelumnya memimpin perolehan dengan tujuh nominasi ‘hanya’ mendapatkan empat penghargaan di antaranya Best Rap Album (My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy) dan Best Rap Song untuk lagu All of the Lights kolaborasinya bersama Rihanna, Kid Cudi dan Fergie. Group alternatif Foo Fighters menyabet lima penghargaan dari total enam nominasi yang didapat. Foo Fighters memenangkan kategori Best Rock Album (Wasting Light) dan Best Rong Song untuk lagu Walk. Untuk kategori country music, trio country band Lady Antebellum tahun lalu memborong lima penghargaan Grammy, tahun ini memenangkan Best Country Album (Own the Night), untuk Best Country Song disabet oleh Taylor Swift dalam lagu Mean. Bon Iver memenangkan kategori Best New Artist sekaligus menyingkirkan The Band Perry dan Nicky Minaj.

Ajang Grammy awards ke 54 tahun ini dimeriahkan dengan penampilan penyanyi-penyanyi dunia, Bruce Springsteen dan The E Street Band membuka acara dengan single terbaru Springsteen Take Care of Our Own, Bruno Mars (Runaway Baby), Jason Aldean dan Kelly Clarkson (Don’t You Wanna Stay), Foo Fighter (Walk), Coldplay dan Rihanna tampil memukau dengan medley We Found Love, Princess of China dan Paradise. Katy Perry tak mau kalah dengan membawakan E.T. dan single terbaru Part of Me. Ajang Grammy Award tahun ini menjadi comeback bagi Adele setelah istirahat cukup lama paska operasi tenggorakan, tampil luar biasa membawakan hit singlenya Rolling the Deep mendapat standing ovation dari penonton yang hadir. Penyanyi jazz legendaris Tony Bennett tampil bersama Carrie Underwood membawakan single It Had to be You. Grammy Awards juga memberikan tribute kepada Whitney Houston dengan penampilan memukau dari Jennifer Hudson membawakan hit single I Will Always Love You. Paul McCartney menutup acara bersama Bruce Springsteen, lead singer Foo Fighters – Dave Grohl, Rusty Anderson, Brian Ray dan Joe Walsh membawakan hit single The Beatles Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight dan The End. Billboard Menobatkan Adele Sebagai Top Artist 2011

Tahun 2011 rasanya menjadi milik Adele penyanyi asal Inggris 23 tahun berkat kesuksesan sophomore albumnya 21 yang resmi dirilis 24 Januari 2011 di UK dan 22 Februari di US berhasil menjadi best selling album 2011 terjual sekitar 5 juta copy hanya di US dan lebih dari 12 juta copy di seluruh dunia, membuat Billboard tak ragu untuk menobatkan Adele sebagai Top Artist 2011. Single andalan album ini, Rolling In The Deep juga menjadi lagu paling populer tahun ini berhasil merajai berbagai chart di berbagai negara. Dikutip dari billboard.com, menganggapi kesuksesan yang diraihnya Adele mengungkapkan “When it comes to staying myself -- my career isn't my life, it doesn't come home with me. So it's a piece of piss staying grounded and not being changed by it. The same things I've always liked still satisfy me.”

Sebagai informasi, Adele juga berhasil memperoleh enam nominasi Grammy Awards yang diumumkan 1 Desember lalu di antaranya untuk kategori record of the year, album of the year dan song of the year. Congratulations, Adele.

Grammy Awards 2012 Nominees

Nominasi Grammy Awards diumumkan hari ini di CBS live dari Nokia Theatre Los Angeles dengan host LL Cool J dalam rangkaian acara The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! Untuk tahun ini vocal kategori untuk pop, R&B dan country digabung, tak seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya dimana dibedakan berdasarkan jenis kelamin.

Tak banyak kejutan untuk para peraih nominasi tahun ini. Kanye West berhasil memimpin perolehan nominasi terbanyak dengan tujuh kategori. Disusul oleh Adele, Bruno Mars dan Foo Fighter masing-masing dengan enam nominasi. Lady Gaga mendapatkan tiga nominasi untuk Album of the Year dan Best Pop Vocal Album (Born This Way) serta Best Pop Solo Performance (You and I). Katy Perry tahun ini hanya mendapat dua nominasi untuk Record of the Year dan Best Pop Solo Performance (Firework). Lady Antebellum yang tahun lalu berhasil memborong lima penghargaan Grammy, tahun ini hanya mendapat satu nominasi untuk Best Country Album (Own The Night). Sementara untuk kategori Best New Artis akan bersaing The Band Perry, Bon Iver,J. Cole, Nicki Minaj dan Skrillex.
