2011 CMA Awards Nominees

Dalam acara Good Morning America hari ini, Jake Owen dan The Band Perry mengumumkan para peraih nominasi CMA Awards 2011, penghargaan bagi penyanyi country  yang akan digelar 9 November 2011 di Bridgestone Arena, Nashville. Brad Paisley dan Carrie Underwood kembali menjadi host acara ini empat tahun berturut-turut.

Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean dan Keith Urban akan saling bersaing dalam kategori Entertainer of the Year. Sementara The Band Perry mendapat lima nominasi New Artist of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Single of the Year, Music Video of the Year dan satu nominasi untuk Kimberly Perry sebagai songwriter lagu If I Die Young kategori Song of the Year.

Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood 'Remind Me' Video Music Premiere

Penyanyi country Brad Paisley hari ini meluncurkan video premiere lagu 'Remind Me' duetnya bersama jawara American Idol season 4 Carrie Underwood. Remind me merupakan single ketiga dari album kesembilan Brad Paisley This Is Country Music yang dirilis 23 Mei lalu di bawah label Arista Nashville. 'Remind Me' saat ini berada di posisi 27 tangga lagu Billboard Hot 100. Ini bukan pertama kalinya Brad Paisley berduet dengan Carrie Underwood, sebelumnya mereka pernah berkolaborasi dalam lagu 'Oh Love' yang masuk dalam album kelima Paisley 5^th Gear.

Konsep video music Remind Me tergolong sederhana, namun pas dengan lagu yang bercerita mengenai pasangan yang kehilangan rasa cinta. Brad Paisley dan Carrie Underwood memiliki chemistry yang sangat tinggi. Video music lagu ini mengambil setting di sebuah padang Brad Paisley tampil dengan gitar elektrik, sementara Carrie Underwood bernyanyi dalam balutan busana panjang. Baik Paisley maupun Underwood akan kembali menjadi host untuk keempat kali berturut-turut dalam ajang penghargaan tahunan country music, CMA Awards 2011 yang akan berlangsung 9 November mendatang.

Taylor Swift Won Entertainer of the Year

The Academy of Country Music(ACM) baru saja digelar 3 April waktu setempat  di MGM Grand Garden Arena Las Vegas, country music stars, Reba McEntire dan BlakeShelton ditunjuk sebagai host.  Tahun ini menginjak 46 tahun sejak acara ini pertama digelar tahun 1964.

Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambertdan Lady Antebellum membuktikan mereka memang pantas merajai ajang ini. Bahkan Taylor Swift berhasil merebut kategori bergengsi Enternainer of The Year. Swift merupakan pemenang termuda kategori ini setelah dua tahun berturut-turut CarrieUnderwood berhasil memenangkan kategori ini.  sementara Lady Antebelum menyabet Album of The Year (Need You Now) dan Vocal Group of the Year.

Miranda Lambert paling bersinar tahun ini berkat single The House that Built Me berhak membawa pulang 4 ACM awards dari 5 nominasi. Miranda hanya kalah dari Taylor Swift sebagai Entertainment of the Year. Empat kategori lain berhasil disabetnya, di antaranya Top Female Vocalist of the Year, Single Record of the Year.

Di kategori laki-laki, BradPaisley menyabet Male Vocalist of the Year mengalahkan Blake Shelton dan KeithUrban. Sementara Sugarland meraih penghargaan kategori best Vocal Duo of the Year. Eric Church berhasil mengalahkan Easton Corbin dan Randy Houser untuk kategori best New Solo Vocalist of the Year.
